We will only consider DOC BC members for this program.
DOC Shadows will pair a novice filmmaker with a documentary mentor, for one-day. The goal of this program is to have the mentor, share their time and expertise in the day-to-day creative and business aspects of documentary filmmaking. Ideally, the novice filmmaker will shadow for one-day, either during prep, production or post.
DOC One-On-One is for both the novice and evolving filmmaker, who want to access the expertise of a mentor, that may not currently be in production. It’s also a great opportunity for any filmmaker who wishes to be introduced to an experienced story editor, production manager, insurance broker, entertainment lawyer, etc. DOC BC will arrange for a lunch or coffee meeting for the filmmaker and the expert.
